Posters made from image blocks do not necessarily have to show the spaces between the panels the way most people think of block posters. Block posters are easy to create with the right software. This website is about YottaPrint, a photo editing program that both enlarges and optimizes panel creation for poster printing or wall mural construction.
Without specialized software to create a block poster, you would have to undertake several somewhat tedious tasks to develop the blocks for the poster construction:
- You would have to know and understand photo editing software like Photoshop®
- You would have to load the image you want into Photoshop, then use Photoshop to enlarge the image. This can cause issues because Photoshop is not meant to enlarge images. Click here to read more about Photoshop and photo enlargement.
- After you enlarged and cut the image into panels in photo editing software like Photoshop you would then need to cut each panel out of the larger image to create a separate file the size of the paper your printer, large format printer or plotter will output.
- After creating each separate panel for printing output, you would have to mind how you created the margins for each page depending on the margin specifications of the printer or plotter you will be using. The above two tasks alone could literally take days to complete.
YottaPrint allows any mode of display you want. You can choose to turn off the faint alignment and margin markings if you want the spaces between the panels displayed, or you can edge each panel to create posters that can be applied to everything from childrens bedroom wall murals to outdoor applications with additional weatherproof coating.
